Video "School Meals: Potential" from youtube

SUMMARY
This video is an advertisement of World Food Program USA., but there is much information about the present condition of world food. According to the video, today 66 million students across the developing world will go to school hungry. They don’t have enough nutrition, so the organization helps children to supply school meals. It is very important for students to get education.

MY OPINION
I think the program is very nice to protect children around the world from hunger. We should get enough information about food problems which are hunger or overweight.  It is important for children to have school meals. If I have a chance, I want to join these programs to help children.

My favorite Food Aphorism

My favorite food aphorism is “a fit, healthy body- that is the best fashion statement” mentioned by Jess C. Scott. I agree with the aphorism. I think it is not good to be fatness because no matter how someone who is overweight wear beautiful clothes, it doesn’t seem beautiful. To have food is very important for us to live, but we should take care about eating too much. The most important thing is keeping healthy body not only for fashion but also not to be an illness. Therefore I chose this one for my favorite aphorism. I try to keep healthy body in order to suit all of clothes!

Picnic!!!!

I went to Yoyogi park with IE classmates last week. It was rain and cool, but I enjoyed picnic. Everyone brought each of foods and shared. I had sandwich, rice ball, sushi, stuffed cabbage and so on. I love eating, so it was nice time for me.

After eating, I played basketball with Megumi. I’m not good at playing it, but Megu taught me kindly, so I wanted to do it again with her. I practiced juggling, too. My teacher, Dias, taught me how to juggle. When I was a child, I played “otedama”. I thought juggling resembles it, so I could play a little juggling. I had a good time and we could be closely each other.

Then, we went to Dias’s house which was very comfortable because there were full of plants and vegetables. I learned food’s history. It was interested in it for me, so I wanted to learn more.

Thank you, my teacher and my new friends. I’ll do my best to improve my English skills in this class.
